How does the AVF/Repair the World matching grant process work? What projects are eligible?

Projects eligible for an AVF/Repair the World match are those that either encourage young Jews to take social action and contribute to the world through volunteering and/or projects that specifically use Jewish learning and values to engage volunteers in social action. The BYFI Alumni Advisory Board will review all grant applications first.  If a project is selected to receive an AVF grant and is meets the criteria for the Repair the World match, that project will be reviewed by the team at Repair the World and a match determination will be made.  BYFI will issue both the AVF grant check and the matching funds check if project is selected.  There are no additional reporting requirements for projects that receive a match.  For more information about Repair the World visit: www.werepair.org
